Laynee suggested that title for the above pic. Shana and I attended her cross country banquet on Monday evening at Desert Hills High School. The coach handed out awards and honors and recapped the season.
Laynee ran #2 on the varsity team nearly the entire season and still has a lot of potential.
Obviously pumped about her varsity letter award.
Later in the week, the varsity XC team headed down to Mesa, AZ for the Nike Southwest cross country race. They played the day before the race - even taking in a dinosaur museum.

It was a cold muddy race and another great experience. Laynee came in 29th out of hundreds in the open division. She's hoping to run in the champions division next year.
Awesome post.... Proud of Laynee and her running and all around goodness.
