It's the most wonderful time of the year

It's Christmas Eve once again, so off we go to hike the Sugarloaf.  Seth and Jack crossing the bridge.
Jack learned something new - how to look even more awesome in his pictures.  Turned out to be a great morning to explore.
Laynee is present and accounted for.
Off to the Narrows - we do this every year and it never gets old and it never gets easier...although it looks like Shana is making it through just fine.
The crew making their way back to the start.  We were joined by Mom and Randy, Kyle and his kids, Lauri and James and girls.
Christmas eve gathering at Grandma Sullivan's once again.  Some years Santa stops in, others he doesn't.
All Seth wants for Christmas is his two front teeth.
All I want for Christmas is a dog.
I have no idea what Drew wants for Christmas.
The 'nightcap' down at B-Awma's - we wish Scotty, Jake, Max, and Harry could've made it.

Good Morning Jack
Seth is ready to roll.  I think somewhere along the way, we heard the words from at least one of the kids, "best Christmas ever."
Keeping with tradition - Christmas morning breakfast at Nikki's.

Still got it.
The weather held up for the annual home run derby.
Mason brought home the win, and if you look closely, is enjoying a victor's back-rub from Matty.  Lucky
There was a small break in tradition that night as we held the Burgess Christmas dinner at our house.  This is story time, as The Troy is explaining to us how he is lucky to be alive after his short nap lasted longer than he expected driving across the country.  We were enthralled (as evidenced by the looks on the faces)
And finally, we hit the slopes up in Pine Valley on Saturday.  The kids have been itchin' to make it up there and play in the snow.
The sledding was pretty darn good.
The starting line.
Jack wielding his icy tool of destruction
I'm just grateful there were no injuries - those kids were flying down that hill.  The cabin offers a great resting place, and we were able to heat it up beyond the point of 'seeing our breath' by about the last hour we were there.
Merry Christmas to all.

  1. That is the coolest icicle I have ever seen! I just finished my blog on the Home Run Derby if you want to check it out. There are some good pictures on there.
