Drew had two games this week, and with a comfortable lead (and Shana's permission), Coach Reber put Drew in as pitcher for the last inning. He did well and didn't blow the ten run lead.
Later in the week it was Seth's turn. He's in machine pitch and got three hits. Everybody's defense needs work, but that's a 7 year-old league for you.
Finally...Jack! He's always willing to pose.
Each inning, the whole team gets to hit. The last hitter of the line-up just keeps running around the bases for a home-run. This is Jack sliding into home plate.
Saturday was spent in Pine Valley. For the most part we visited with the Burgess Clan as the kids played football, whiffle ball, or just rough-housed with Aussie and Odie.
Shana put on a great Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Our kids were used to our single-family hunts back in Louisville where they would be able to collect 40-50 eggs each. With all the cousins, they were limited to 24 - so our kids were miffed, but the cousins were stoked.

The real motivation for the kids was the dollar bills hidden in random eggs. Jack cleared the most with a $4 haul. Seth was satisfied with his $3 and Laynee and Drew both brought home a single dollar.
With the help of Shana and Jeremy and a generous sponsorship from Janice, the adults even had an easter egg hunt of their own. Each egg represented either a full size candy bar or a gift certificate to a few of our favorite places like Pasta Factory, Westates Theaters, WalMart, etc. Kason earned the booby prize by finding 5 candy bar eggs only - no gift certificates.
My favorite part of the trip - just sitting back and enjoying the company of family.

We're grateful for family, health, and the opportunity afforded by our Savior to live again with each other. Happy Easter!
