14 years ago, this girl changed our email address from sswells@... to sslwells@... and funny enough, it hasn't changed since. It was actually a fairly simple birthday - she just wanted running clothes.
She took some of her friends to Menchies and kept it pretty simple. I suppose that's just how Laynee is - she likes to keep it simple.
In preparation for Seth's upcoming baseball tourney, we found ourselves at the McArthur's batting cage. This is Shana pitching to Drew while I was working with Seth. A family that baseballs together...gets better at baseball.
More of Laynee and her cake
Seth played up in Cedar again for a quick 2 day tourney and had a good time building character (lost all 4 games) and on Saturday, we had an early and late game, so to stay out of the heat and pass some time we went to the movies.
The kids loved Monsters University and while they were occupied in theater #6, I spent most of my time in theater #5 watching Man of Steel.
It was slated to be an extremely hot weekend (115+ in St. George), but while we played, the clouds gathered both on Friday and Saturday creating beautiful evenings in the 70's with occasional sprinkles and rain. As soon as we finished our last game, the sun came out from behind the clouds and it was immediately scorching.
Finally, there was a write-up in The Spectrum on Drew's Fire FC team and their recent run at the State Cup. This is the picture that was in the paper. Kire, Ben, Drew, and Adam looking good.
