Laynee pulled off a personal Region Championship this year. We had a lot of friends and family around the course to cheer her on. It was a decisive victory as a Sophmore and she'll have a big target on her back for the coming years.

These are the top ten finishers. Laynee will still be racing against the 2 and 3 finishers next year. Should make for a fun season.

So this is what it looks like when we find out that Laynee is up for The Spectrum's Athlete of the Week and we recruit the entire Meadow Valley Ward to vote for Laynee...everyone on their phones (deleting cookies).

State XC at Sugar House Park
This one's for Ray-Slay...we're gonna miss her next year.
Traci with all boys in tow and her girl on the way made their way down to support. Scotty ran with me around the course cheering for Laynee. We had a good conversation. He had lots of questions for me about school and doctors.
Laynee did well placing 7th overall...improving from 16th last year.
We also stopped in at the Stewart's on the way home. Louis is getting big! I don't know how Lucy manages Molly...that girl gives her a run for her money! Love them all.

This is the final game of Seth's baseball tournament last weekend. From left to right: Shana and Jack, Mom, Mason, and Bruce. We were witness to a cold-front moving into our region first hand. It was miserable. Seth and the boys took 2nd place and made us all very proud. It was a good weekend but just a cold final game.
Mom invited us over for an Aebleskiver feast to celebrate Dad's birthday. The boys were skeptical at first, but how can you go wrong with that much butter and syrup?

That was one of the most gorgeous Halloween evenings that I can remember for a long time. Good times here in Portofino Circle.
