February is over...

...and this is the face of a mother who just finished entertaining...

...these kids...

...for this kid's birthday.

Actually it was pretty easy with the help of Jumpin' Jacks. Every single kid Seth invited showed up ready to bounce their heart out. They stormed the (jumpy) castles with waivers in hand and had a great time. Drew and I had to leave early for his baseball tryouts. He was nervous and intimidated with this, his first encounter with organized baseball - but he did well and has a great coach.

The Troy came to town and brought his wife Cindy, so we've been partying hard. Cindy actually hit the roulette tables in Vegas before making it to St. George, but once here - it's been nonstop fun. We started off with some shootin' south of the border. We taught those beer bottles a lesson they'll never forget.

Shana with a view to a kill.

This was my trophy kill - My Little Pony. I've cleared a spot right above the fireplace to have it mounted.

We did a lot of other fun activities and ate at all our favorite eateries. Troy and Cindy even worked their way through the narrows up on the Red Hill. Apparently that was worth seeing, but the hi-lite of the weekend was Angels Landing. For a Georgia boy who's never really been out west, this was impressive. It was a gorgeous day. Loved it.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

So there was a bit of a twist to this hike. The steepest and most difficult parts of the trail had some ice and snow. Others were doing it, so we figured we could too.

Looking at this picture makes me wonder what we were thinking, but we took it one obstacle at a time not worrying about how much further we had to go.

It really wasn't that bad, otherwise we wouldn't have continued on. There was just a few spots that we had to take extra care.

The view from the top.

Lunch never tastes as good as after (or in the middle of) a long hike. We all made it back safe...but I don't know if the Davis' will be taking us up on any hiking adventures any time soon.
